What is the difference between photoshop cs2 and all of the others?

I know there are loads of different versions of photoshop, but my mom and I came across photoshop cs2 and wondered if it was the latest next to photoshop cs3, and what the difference between it and the others are….?

CS2 is outdated, meaning it has fewer features. The latest version is Adobe CS3, which was released April 2007.

For a quick rundown of top new features in CS3 read this article:

Hope this helps.
