Adobe Photoshop Elements 3 On Colour Restoring
There are some really cool neat and very simple little tricks in elements and restoring colour is one of them. Just with one single click you can restore the colour in a washed out skin tone. Now a days the only way to get a decent exposure is to use a flash, but when you buy a camera with a built in flash it will produce a harsh front on light this creates a flat lit image, also you’ll get something what they call a bleach out face on the person skin. If you have a remote flash unit, you can move it away from the persons face, if not you’ll have to edit it and restore some colour to there skin, this can be done be using hue/saturation sliders this will boost the person face and skin tones. Or with a simple click with elements you can use the adjust colour for skin tone dialog. Here are six simple steps to adjusting skin tones. 1 – To access the dialog go to enhance> adjust colour > adjust colour for skin tone. 2 – You’ll find you have some sliders, make these enable it helps you to be more accurate with you target for tone required tones you need, this happens commonly on Caucasian skins. The tan slider boosts yellows and browns, and the blush slider boosts pinks and reds. 3 – You’ll also find a temperature slider, this has the effect of warming up or cooling down the skin tones, as well as colours on your images. 4 – In the adjust colour for skin tones you see the OK button when your happy with your adjustments just click that, or click Rest if your changes aren’t what you want. 5 – By hovering your cursor over your image and it will change to an eyedropper. Click anywhere on the facial skin and the image saturation will be boosted to improve the skin colours. 6 – You should also keep an eye out for unwanted tints being introduced, this will happen because the entire image is being adjusted. |
