Understanding the colour theory in Photoshop? The human eye can perceive colours because it is capable of distinguishing different wavelengths of light in the visible spectrum, and also different images and objects because of the combinations of wavelengths in light.

Actually there are only three primary main colours red, green, and blue. Computer and Televisions use these colours. The pixel you see on a screen represents a colour which is a specific mix of the three colours red, green and blue. All these tiny little dots you see create the illusion of the smoothly graduated hubs.

So what is a colour wheel? Well a colour wheel is basically a spectrum bar bent around into a 360 degrees circle. This make’s choosing a colour easy because of how the all the colours in the visible spectrum relate to one another. This will also help you to work out which colour you will need for your image to remove a particular tint.

If you look at the wheel and look at a colour lets say yellow for example the opposite to that is blue, so you can reduce the amount of yellow to the image by just adding blue.
